Torn

Here I am, once again :D

Check it out, I made this a while ago but the more I look at it, the more I'm starting to see it does not look that good at all.
Can someone give me advise about certains moves?

Oh yeah, I skipped the part of ripping the card, this because it took too much time and too much MB of webspace.
But now when I think about it, it is a very important part I let out :P

Well I made this movie just to check how the restauration worked, and I'm not quite happy with it yet!

Looked fine to me. A nice effect.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Is this Ripped and Restored?

Done reasonably well!

Wouldn't worry if I were you, but perhaps pace it a bit quicker between restores.

No this is Torn, by Daniel Garcia.
It looks the same as Ripped & Restored, but I believe the actual tearing of the card is different (not displayed in the video here offcourse...)

Seige - Daniel Garcia credits Ripped and Restored as one of the inspirations behind Torn. Some of the handlings are quite similar as a result.

Another great video Slyszer. The only detractor is that the card was torn before the camera was rolling. However, since I'm sure you don't do such a thing in a performance situation, it hardly detracts from the handling of the restoration.

Nice job.

I'm trying to give some constructive criticism here because i have the same effect, in the last stage of the restoration just before you take the last piece i think you are wrong tohold the card in the middle as this makes it look unusual, if you study the dvd you see daniel holds the card in the corner. Also when you connect the last piece you should cover more of the card as this looks unnatural aswell hope this helps
