D'Lites

Postby Dominick » Feb 23rd, '06, 21:38

Hey Folks!
Okay, so I've had D'lites for about four or five months. I must say they are the coolest!! They are a nice and clean illusion. It is extremely easy to learn when you know the secret . I got them after my parents went to Vegas. There are countless routines with them as well. I find it's the easiest to work with children for this effect, but after a lot of practice with them, you can do it to adults as well! So all together D'Lites=Must Have.
Thanks,
Dominick

Does anyone have the new D'lites that change colour?

I've seen them demo'd today and they look cool but I was wondering if anyone would like to comment on how they look in the 'real world' of performance? (I'm desperately trying not to give into the C.U.P.S. )

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Hey Folks!
I just saw a demo video today as well and they seem very cool. The raindow line also seems unique. I have the standard red...Although I wish I had the green...Then red is somewhat dull...

As this isn't really a Review, it's been moved here. Try typing D'Lites in the Search function and you'll find four or five earlier threads which offer hints and tips (sorry!) for use.

Ooh, I just got the blue the other day and I'm addicted now. I've been playing with them for hours on end and now my hands are killing me.

Ah well, such is life.

Much as I like messing about in bars with silly things like D'Lites, the simple fact that the morphing ones just cycle through the rainbow is a show stopper for me. If you could call up a colour on demand I'd ditch the pairs I tend to carry in a second, but they don't, ergo no sale.

they are so much fun for the subtle cultural jammer. When I've had a few, I like to go up to vehicles at traffic lights, pull a ball of light off a car's stop light, hold it up and maybe pass it from hand to hand while I examine it a bit, nod sagely, blow it out and walk off. Trouble is, I never get to see the faces of the other drivers in the queue. It's me drunken mates who get the giggly benefit... Pedestrian crossings are even better. They have lights that taste nice

My friend was stood on the balcony of a night club with a lazer pointer and I was walking around 'removing' the light from girl's chests for them. very amusing. I think I stole the idea from playing tricks but I can't remember. Hours of fun. (okay maybe only 10 minutes till I got slaped but still...)

oh you need to get the colour changing ones! they're amazing.
after i've been throwing (that's what i call it since it's more of a dance thing than magic) red lites about for a bit and someone has cottened on to how it's done i change them to green and it throws them a little more.
d-lite-tastic!

Strange Larry, the one that I;ve seen you can't change the colour.

The d'lites cycle through the colours automatically and they change about every 3 to 4 seconds.

I have a pair of reds and have had them for 2 years now and the battery is still going strong. I may try the blues as I've seen a video of these and they look cool.

there are ones the cycle through colours, and strobe!
but you can get some with 2 LEDS and 2 switches in them. takes a touch more practise though. but well worth it
