well i dont know how tis done but from looking at it on the site i think ive figured it out and the first time i saw it i had to rub my eyes litrally to see what i was actually seeing and that was before i really got into magic

well i think its not as effective in person, the video is not clear as daylight quality so of course its flawless plus angles. In person i think it can be done flawless and look amazing but im sure there will be times where some poeple can just know maybe this or maybe that

I have it, and to be honest there are good points and bad points.

On the plus side, it's extremely visual. It's probably the most stunning thing I know for pure magic. On the minus, it's not always possible to do and has some requirements for performing that you need (I think that's as much detail as I can go into). Also, I find it's relatively angly as the spectators need to be pretty much directly in front of you, not behind and definitely not to the side.

yeah i agree with many of you, the fact that when performed in person it doesnt seem that visually effective. However i think it is a great vanish since its so clean and leaves you clean after the vanish also. I think the best vanish is probably ones using the raven, although it uses a gimmick, is just as visually amazing. I own revoulution and recommend it to any one interested in coin magic.

it looks amazing in video because its not as clear as daylight and its aimed at ur hands, in person looks a little bit awkward lol

with a bit of practise it can be used in person easily enough.
i never really thought much of it to start with. but a while back i was teaching an intro to coin magic workshop and after demonstarting some vanished i had one person to the side (the one who seemed the most interested and talented) and i was showing him something more difficult and for some reason i said "and there's also revolution" #performed revolution# and he was quite shocked and started checking my hands. then i started to think "hmm, maybe it can work quite well"
i never really include it in any trick, just as an impromtu coin vanish.

er... what was the question? oh, my opinion.
yeah, it's cool! but probably not worth whatever ellusionist are charging for it!

i tried it recently to someone and they dont know how its done and think its great and all but they know the coin has to end somewhere, and they can easily guess where at the end

To Shoe

Postby abn801 » Feb 27th, '06, 07:04

The revolution is a great effect, I love it. As I do with many tricks and sleights I learn, I put my own spin on them. Itstead of just having the coin vanish, I created a sleight for it to enter my shoe. I take off my shoe and dump out their signed coin.
