spider pen...

Postby tommo764 » Feb 28th, '06, 01:38

Hi,

I have seen numerous magic/illusions shows on tv recently, and am desperate to have a go!

I am interested in buying the IT "spider pen". The reviews I have read have been very positive- has anyone had good/bad experiences with it?

As a complete novice, is it a worthwhile purchase or would I struggle?

Lastly- I have seen two different models of the pen: one is a chunky, novel looking one. The other is slimmer and more "pen-like". Is there any difference? ie. is one an updated version?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thank you

Thom :D

I don't have it but logic would suggest you buy the most normal looking pen. Also, you might want to move this to the reviews request area

I bought one as my first introduction to IT and I was not disappointed. Until I lost a piece. Hoever, up until then I'd had excellent reactions. However, now I own a copy of Michael Ammar's Easy to Master Thread Miracles on DVD, I'd say buy that first. I wish I had before I bought my Spider Pen, as it teaches a lot of subtleties and gives you many more ideas than the Spider Pen booklet does. I did a review for it just last week in the review section. Go have a look.

The Spider Pen is a wondrous tool, but I reckon it'd be best to do some IT ground work first - without a reel.

I have one and I am not disappointed either! That was until I used it to make a £5 note float and this guy grabbed it thus, revealing the secret. I was furious.
