Does it come with the coins? and do you have to use american currency or will any normal coin work?

This is one of my first and still ranks up there amoungst my favourites... just to say the first version I had used a 'GREEN' coloured rubber sheet, I have since bought this for a friend and it came with a 'SILVER/GREY' coloured rubber sheet, which I feel is not as good as the 'GREEN' one.

I only have the silver sheet version, so I can't really comment - but I would have thought that its being silver was quite an important factor.

I will warn you that you should NEVER use copper coins

Hhhmmm. I am not sure about this. I have always used a copper coin and a silver coin, so that the spec can select a coin first.

So far I haven't had any problem with discolouration, although I admit I never leave it pre-set up for long. But I would have thought that it is an essential part of the effect to have two coins there so that one can be lifted off. And if two coins are needed, soesn't one have to be silver and one copper? Wouldn't two silver coins give the game away?

Or are you saying that only a silver coin should be used for the actual penetration? in which case I agree 100% (and apologise for the misunderstanding). This is also why I think the silver/grey sheets would work better - but remember I haven't seen the green or black sheets - so I can only assume that they work pretty good too or they wouldn't use them.

Well, here's my couple of 'obligatory' tips for Penacoin...

1: Buy a couple. Almost guaranteed you will destroy the first 'batch' within minutes.

2: Make yourself an 'arming' device. Can be as simple as a wine cork with bluetack on the bottom, or as elaborate as you wish. This will make it easier to set up the effect, and also lessens the chances of tearing the rubber. You'll understand if you've read the instructions. Oh, by the way, a lemon is handy here, also... (throw 'em off the scent)

It's a great illusion!

'GREEN' is just my personal preference, it just seems more solid...
using a 'cork' is a great tip, though!
