Cost: $60 for a set of 4 videos, plus 1 svengali deck.
Effects: 81 tricks, some incredible, some good, some cheesy, and a few lame. Includes coin/money tricks, card tricks, business card tricks, rope/string tricks, metalism tricks.
Difficulty: Easy to Medium

I've heard other magicians say that if a video has one really good effect, it's worth having, and I have to agree. Although this series has some tricks that are not great, or that are just gags, there are a lot of really good tricks on each of the 4 tapes. There's a full list of tricks at the website http://www.jawdroppers.com

My son bought me this set of tapes for my birthday in April although I'd shown no interest in magic up to that time. I couldn't believe my eyes-the effects Larry demonstrated were so impressive and easy to perform that I couldn't wait to try them on my friends family and colleagues. The results were very encouraging for a novice magician and I quickly graduated to more sophisticated effects. Larry shows some excellent business card tricks but my favourite is the 'cut and restored string' which I have performed many times and no one has come close to figuring the secret.
These tapes represent an excellent introduction to magic. Larry's performances of the tricks are smooth and friendly and his explanations and method teaching are clear and easy to follow.
