THE ONE ROPE TRICK

Postby dat8962 » Mar 4th, '06, 21:59

This is the 'ONE ROPE' version of 'Fibre Optics' as taught on Richard Sander's DVD of the same title.

You'll notice a different beginning and end which results in an instant re-set and as well as a couple of different moves, there are some variations in the handling between this and the three rope version which I've posted for comparrison.

Hope that you enjoy

That was amazing! I'm completely baffled! You had the routine down pat. I am not a fan of rope tricks, but wow. That was amazing. I liked the music as well :D
Thanks,

That was brilliant and very enjoyable to watch! Great showmanship and a great performance. It was engaging and flowing (and very deceptive at the same time :D) !

I think that it prbably wouldn't be ok, as this requires a lot of practice, and you would be better buying the DVD, as this would be very difficult to explain in words!

I found that amazing Dat. Well Done!

Dave, your rope magic never ceases to amaze me. I love that I can just forget about the moves and methods and just enjoy a brilliant routine.

Your timing and acting is in perfect concert with the effect itself. The return to a bit of Satch was also nice!

Outstanding as usual!

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone  .

Ippy - buy the DVD and you won't be disapointed  The endless loop realy doesn't work on it's own anyway. I posted a variation on Firbre optics a while back and in case you didn't see it I've put the link below. This is how I prefer to perform it although with a smile or two  .

Demitri - I just love Satch's guitar work and it's a real chore working out which track works best as they are ALL top notch. I bought 5 Steve Via albums a few weeks ago but can't get on with most of his stuff. However, there are a few that I like a lot and am working on some rope routines to fit (it should be the other way around  ).

I should have my Tabary routine sorted by the weekend and will make a video post shortly afterwards. Totally different rope handlings with Tabary than with Sanders, Flip & Gallos, despite some of the moves looking the same. It's taken some time to get used to working with a 9 feet long piece of rope

Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to post.
