well i don't want to copy someone else's patter. i just wanted a general guideline on a story. the presentation will be mine.

the one where eight cards are shown to have the same value (say, Queen of Hearts). then with the help of another card (say, the Ace of Spades), all those Queens of Hearts are turned into Aces of Spades.

If you already know the moves involved to perfrom the trick, which I'm assuming you do, why not say something along the lines of
'these are 8 of the most beautiful cards in the world, they are the queen of hearts, each of them are included in this years beauty pagent, then turn them over one by one, then turn them face down one by one and then show the ace of spades and say that the ace is the most repulsive card in the world and cannot enter the pagent, and then go on to say it has taken it's revenge by turning all the cards in to ugly cards turn them over to show the aces'
i dont know if thats the help you were lookin for but if it was just remember to be as creative as possible when coming up with routines, you can say anything as long as it doesn't offend anyone your showing the trick to.

Or if you modified the effect a bit you could use the same handling to do a gambling trick - deal out a poker hand and show that you have a pair of twos or something; then use the joker to turn the card into a royal flush - well, solething like that anyways.
