What is your favourite cut in your own opinion? if you want, also post up where you can learn it from. BtW mine is probably 'what the hell happend to sybil 2'. SOOOOOO COOOOOL

My favourite cut is fillet, cooked medium

Second I'll go for the trinary cut

I enjoy a nice old fashioned Charlier. Easy to do, but when people see you do it they are baffled...Especially when you get it down to a science...Then it look reeeeaaalll nice

I must admit I like the butterfly cut but that's only because I've just got it nice and smooth and it makes me look like I know what I'm doing.....I dont

Are we talking cuts for flourishes, cuts for controls, or cuts for shuffling?

In that particular order:

Flourish: Illogical cut
Control: Blind swivel cut or double undercut
Shuffle: One hand swivel cut

Two handed cut - Mary Jane or T.C.T.C.S.A - by Dan and Dave Buck

Most impressive one handed cut - King Cobra by De'vo.

The illogical cut is good for two reasons - it looks good and it's false.

i think this need renaming, for the reasons seige pointed out.
but as a flourish i suppose it would have to go to sybil cuts and the 101 variations on it. although i've seen someone go at subil cuts for well over a minute and people were losing interest. i say do it for 20seconds or so. just for the flourish value!

and yeah, as a control i guess a double undercut does it everytime. no matter how many times i do something like that infront of people it still baffles me how people can't see exactly what I'm doing. ah well. i guess that's because i see through magicians eyes

Well if we're categorising our favourite cuts here are mine:

Flourish: My own Pterodactyl Cut (completely false, love it)
Control: Swing Swivel Undercut (from Born To Perform)
Shuffle (By this I presume we mean doesn't leave the deck in order): Brian Tudor's One Handed Revolution Two or the Reverse Charlier Cut (or apparently it's the thumb cut, both can be seen here)

personaly i love B.R.S and butterfly

i like to watch the cobra cuts but think that to a spectator its not particualy interesting to watch

charliers are best, a nice one handed cut which is the foundation for extreme card manipulations (xcm) in my opinion.

but ill prefer sybils, when you do them fast you feel SO CONTENTED.
