dvds with subtitles

Postby lozey » Mar 13th, '06, 23:37

Does anyone know of any instructional dvds that have subtitles? Iv got dvds by jay sankey, jeff mcbride, oz pearlman, michael ammar, daryl and wayne dobson but none feature subtitles. On the websites, it doesnt usually mention them. I'm hearing impaired so this would be a great help! thanks

Hmmm, this is something I have been ignorant to to be honest and it would appear at first glance so have all our fellow producers and distributors.

I think you have hit upon an area that needs addressing within the magic community. I dont believe it to be too difficult to add subtitles to a dvd so why more arent doing it is probably just down to perceived cost and perceived effort involved in putting it together.

There is no reason why someone who is hearing impaired should be deprived of the ability to perform magic, noone ever told Beethoven that just cos he was deaf he should stop making music.

Might I suggest a few emails to the distributors and manufacturers of magic dvds. You will not be alone in wanting to see this feature added. Email Sankey et al direct and also the big suppliers, Penguin, etc.

I thought this idea too. The dvdsout there already authorized and they are just cloning from the master. I doubt they will remaster-re-authorize and build a new version just to add a subtitle. BUT this would make the new dvds subtitled..
