Anyone into bikes? See I've got a rare in the UK Laverda GS125 Lesmo and the kick start lever snapped. As its a Laverda engined bike and not the Zundapp engine I am finding it difficult to find a replacement.

A few worldwide emails and I'm told and have this confirmed by the person I bought the bike from that a Yamaha DT kick is a perfect replacement HOWEVER they all seem to have forgotten exactly which one!!

Does anyone have or know someone who may have a kickstart fo any description with a 16mm aperture where it connects to the kick motor??

Any help would be greeted with chants of "I'm not worthy" lol as this little search has currently taken 6 months!!! Damn trying to be exclusive again.

There are only 6 of these in the UK and believe it or not even Laverda cant help!!!

have you tried getting a copy of MCN and looking in the breakers section in the back of the classifieds?

You may well find that you can get one from there and if it's not from a DT then they should have damn good idea whih others have a 16mm dianeter.

I used to often buy spares from these places and you'd be amazed at what they stock (or used to).

Good luck

you could try searching for it on ebay?..a little trick is to use the US version of ebay since things seem to be a little cheaper.. i got 2 sets of brake pads for my zzr plus postage for £16 from the US

M brother has just bought a zzr. I don't like bikes even though all my friends are involved with them. I've fell off everyone I've ridden then one of my friends came off, killed his girlfriend and lost his legs.
He now rides a modified bike that doesn't require legs

I have a work colleague who's in a wheelchair through an accident and is as keen now on bikes as he always has been. He still rides a quad when he can.

I've always had bikes - grew up with them and learnt to ride from about the age of 8 on my dad's old Honda C90  (them was the days)

I've had lots and fallen of them all but got straight back on and kept going. Bikes are one of those things that I don't think I will ever get out of my system.
