Has anyone experimented much with using f***ing (no, not the rude word) coin bands in rubber band magic?

I've been messing around a bit, and it looks like they might have some applications. Most obviously in the shrinking band phase of the penetrating bands illusion - slip one over your right index fingertip beforehand, and roll it off as the other band shrinks. Hand out a genuinely shrunken rubber band if you can afford to give them away...

Also, it looks like they might have applications in broken and restored effects, and probably others.

Has anyone got any other ideas of how they can be used, or experience of using them in practice?
