Getting excited

Postby el topo » Mar 16th, '06, 11:15

From the beginning I have mainly been into cards (combined with a minor interest in TT tricks and coins). But recently I've discovered for myself Cups and Balls (and a chop cup). I got so enthusiastic about it that all my practice is now devoted to cups and balls. My cards are on the shelf and I hardly touch them. On one hand, this total devotion practicewise is a good thing as I am progressing fairly fast, but on the other hand I feel a bit guilty I am not doing anything with cards anymore - my very first and biggest passion.

How do you deal with combining different fields in magic? Do you also have periods of interest in one thing only or you always try to keep the balance? Any thoughts?

i suppose once you have mastered the cups and balls maybe you could somehow come up with a routine that involves both cup and balls and your cards 8)

I know what you mean, maybe you should try and make some kind of practise timetable or set yourself targets this way you can be a lot more organised, and know that your weighing your practising out.

hope this helps
