Hi everyone, I saw Geoffrey Durham last night at Darlington Arts Centre last night. It was the second show I had seen him in and I thought it was even better than the last one.

Just thought I would post a quick review. In the first half of the show, he was doing close-up magic and talking about how it's probably the greatest type of magic. I was very impressed with the way he presented and adapted close-up manager to an audience of about three hundred.

The second half focused more on classic magic.

He was very funny, it was strong magic, his patter was good and even though I had quite a lot of insight into certain things, he still managed to thoroughly entertain people. I think the best thing was the they way the audience laughed (not at his jokes) but at the unexpected climax of his tricks.

All in all, a great evening which has certainly inspired me.

I won't go on longer because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who's planning to go.

I think that he lives down in my neck of the woods but I've not yet been fortunate enough to see him live so far. I've heard from those who have seen him that he's extremely entertaining.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
