The "construction" of the gimmick is all about customizing it to your body and your clothing.

The dvd takes you step by step through everything that you have to do, and the kit includes everything that you need.

If you follow along with the dvd, and have the clothes you need to use handy, it will take a couple of hours to assemble it all properly. It's not difficult to do.

HELP ME

Postby Mr_PErVERT » Jan 16th, '06, 04:11

OK PEOPLE....I really really need ur opinion, which one should i purchase the icarus effect or the criss angel levitation...i noe the criss angel levitation can go up more then a foot and the icarus effect seems like u have to go up twice...like u cant do it one time and come back down. From the video it shows that the guy goes up a ledge then has to go back down the ledge, i mean cant he just go up the ledge and go back down normally like step down wit one foot...anyways i really need some good opinions on which one should i purchase.

PS: i am really leaning towards the criss angel cause u can go higher but i really dont know which one is more angle sensitive, oh yea on criss angels levitation you still have to run around and purchase the materials needed to construct them..but the icarus comes in the package...so HELP ME OUT PEOPLE

Check the Magic Cafe forum under the Street Magic heading. there is an honest review of both Icarus Effect and the levitation from the Angel DVD.

I'm thinking about getting the icarus effect, but apart from the lack of money, theres one more thing holding me back..

I have a dodgy left knee, meaning i cant really exert any pressure on it at all. Even standing on my left leg on its own gets taxing after a short while. Does the icarus effect require any sort of leg strength.. possibly like the elevator? If so I will not be able to perform it.

Cheers. :D

Icarus effect, or indeed, most self levitations are not for you.

Well I've got the Criss Angel one, and I can't even afford to buy all the materials. The DVD is $100, and the materials required are going to run you from $250 - $350 depending on the materials you choose to buy.

So they're both going to end up costing about the same, though the Icarus Effect (which I do not own) comes with all the materials needed (so I've heard) so that you don't have to go around buying everything.

Overall, I'd probably go with the Icarus Effect, since it bundles up all the materials needed for you so you don't have to buy them yourself.

do you have to use the icarus effect near a step or ledge because in the vid demo on the actual site you can see at the end some guy do the levitation with nothing behind him? Shed some light plz

It seems that there are a lot of people out there who just want tricks, no matter what the cost and are not really that much into magic, or so it would appear!

For all of those newbies to magic out there who are looking to shell out a couple of hundred pounds on this, just think of all the 'beginners' magic that you could buy to help you become a much better 'all round' magician. Things such as books, DVD's, rope, sponges and cards to name but a few of what's available.

If you aspire to be called a magician and to perform for an audience then it's these items that you must master first.

What's the betting that having spent your money (or your parents), you get caught out pretty much instantly which demonstrates that these effects are for those who are advanced.

If you get upset because you feel you've been ripped off due to buying levitations, then just dont buy them. NO levitation is perfect as said before. If you get upset over small limitations then you are not the type that would apprecitate most levitations that will be produced. Just dont buy them and save us some reading of your aggressive, criticizing comments.

well said mate think Icarus is very good and not every trick is perfect. and like some other people have said its best to have a trick priced high therefore less curious people will find out how its done. am i right?
