Ghost Rising deck, Black Tiger Rising deck

Postby scorpion » Mar 23rd, '06, 02:01

Hi all,

I searched the forum for a topic of this but I couldn't find it within 5 minutes exept all kinds of levitation stuff. Wish doesn't interest me. I'm sure its here somewhere so if anyone could give me the url to it.

OOOR if its not :), I'm interested in buying the deck but It has to be worth it you know. I don't wanna end up with 56 cards in some kind of wire web :). So if anyone of you guys or girls have this deck could you convince me into ordering right away or just say its not worth the money :).

And whats more nice, black tiger rising deck or Ghost Rising deck?

Thanks all.

Well personally, I wouldn't get it. It's really a one-trick pony deck - you can make the card rise and then that's it. Just my opinion though :)

If you want these then you can get from http://www.cards4magic.co.uk who happen to be a great dealer.

Personally, buy a rising deck using normal Bikes which are much much cheaper and then go for the tigers and ghosts if you like it.

Personally, I'm with Kati on this one!

I just love it when people who got suckered into buying fancy decks, panic over the price of the Gaffed versions.

The leson here is, Dont be silly and buy a deck, because of its back design.
and do bother to buy a book or two, which teach you how to make up your own rising cards, with any deck.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Dales right of course. What also hits me is when people ask for advice on a product that they intend to buy anyway. Why bother asking in the first place? :?

Well its not about the money. Money isn't an issue. It just looks cool and I don't wanna end up with a deck where you have to rub gel on a card to make it slide up :).

And I ordered my Ghost Gaff Deck :).

but thanks x

Gel?

Ive never had to rub Gel onto cards to make them rise. In fact, if anything, that would make them stick together.

whats wrong with thread ?

It must be something to do with hair gel Dale, just in case you drop the cards.

I think that they used to call it the Brylcream bounce

that's all that I can think of

Bye the way, there's nothing wrong with Thread, it's Thommy that I'm worried about

i made the mistake of buying a black tiger raising card deck and ID cause now everybody thinks that they could be some sort of magic ("trick") deck cause they never seen the tiger deck (luckly i have a normal brainwave deck). i beleive that if you want a rasing card deck or a ID you should stick with the orginal colors of Red or blue because the deck seems fair to the spectator.

but i do beleive that the gaff decks for the tigers/ghost are worth it (cept a little over priced)

?!~

For crying out loud, the msn button under my name is to talk about magic with me, NOT A FREE MAGIC GIVEAWAY LINK. dont abuse it

My advice is this (incidentally I don't use a rising deck, but do use Tigers and Ghosts to great effect):

Play on the fact that it IS a special deck of cards, get the spectators to tell you what they notice is different about it and concoct some story/patter to justify it (eg. the ghosts/tigers were made by an occultist or something). Generally they won't believe you but they will get drawn into your tale and stop thinking about it being a trick deck, it becomes something more.. interesting/entertaining. By highlighting the magical properties of these decks I find that people don't question them so much, bizarre but true. :D
