A Request for Stripper Owners

Postby Tomo » Mar 28th, '06, 13:43

It might seem like an odd request, but if you have a stripper deck, can I ask that you turn the AoS and say if it's proud at the base or point of the card? I'm trying to find out if it's a general thing or whether the orientation is random. All mine are base proud, by the way.

mine to..

as most are made by the same method from decks off the production line then they would mostly be base proud.

Mine is proud at the point end. Mine is the Marvins Magic stripper deck though if that makes a difference.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Thanks chaps.

I've started to work up a list of controls for the deck (cuts, shuffles, key card work, DLs, etc. -- mostly re-implementations from RRTCM but also stripper-specific like bringing two object cards together and separating them again). Part of the approach is treating it as a regular deck from the moment you remove it from the cover, hence knowing if the deck is out and proud or in and proud just from the AoS. I had a vague idea that there would be a standard orientation but there's not.

I've been putting off getting one of these, but I suspect there's a lot you can do with them in the way of overhand shuffles.

Whiping out a proud end when there's a stripper about is fast becoming the secret of my success.
