international language of magic

I am currently on business in Kuwait. Kuwait is an interesting country where the majority of work is done by third country nationals, mostly Bangladeshi and Phillipinos. Anyway, when the opportunity struck, I shown some of the service staff (gardners, security, valets) some magic.

It is amazing how much they enjoy it and then they then feel comfortable enough to tell you about themselves.

Today, while waiting for my car, I showed my escort some magic. He looked shocked and asked "Are you a magician?" I was a bit embarrassed and replied "Well, yes..but just a beginner." He then told me a little about himself and as my car arrived, he shook my hand. As I got into my car, I overheard him speaking to his friend in a very excited tones and then they waved as I drove off.

I just wanted to share with this forum how much magic, allowed me to connect with these people whom otherwise I would have seen everyday, but never met.
