Flipper vs Folding coins !! Help needed!!

Postby Viraen » Mar 30th, '06, 12:17

Hey guys,

I managed to find one of the only magic shops in Singapore and the stuff there is kinda expensive. Therefore i need you guys to help me make the right choice so i will be satisfied with my purchase as it will definately cost me quite a bit of my savings.

I heard that there are two types of folding coins, perhaps one which has two folds and one which has three folds, I think the one with three folds is called the bite out quarter, which leads me to my first question ' Is the regular folding coin, one with two coins , able to be used for the coin in the bottle trick and the bite out trick'?

IF so whats the pros and cons of the two diferent types of coins, i would like to be able to perform both effetcs using one coin, is it possible?, if so, which coin shoudl i purhcase. is it possible to use the bite out coin for coin n the bottle trick?

I am also interested in teh flipper coin, is the flipper coin a good tool?

in your opinion which whould u recommend me to buy frist the folding or the flipper
pls help me out

Viraen

thx

They are VERY different, and it's in the name. A folding coin, folds, a flipper doesn't :)

Also, I've never heard of a coin with three folds! I think that what you mean is three parts (usually thirds) folding in two places

Bite out go for flipper although can be done with a folding. Coin in bottle then go for the folding

how can you do a bite out with a flipper coin? for coin in bottle or bite out a folding coin is your best bet

for coin in bottle or bite out a folding coin is your best bet

If the_mog says it is, you know it is! And I actually agree with him. Although Bite Out isn't one of my favorite tricks, a folding coin would work for both the Coin In Bottle and Bite Out.

Thanks,
