Where to get Bicycle seconds?

Postby TylerD » Apr 2nd, '06, 01:03

I watched a demo video on www.magicvideodepot.com of some kid doing The Penalty Box by jay Sankey and i noticed he was using Bicycle seconds. They looked just like normal except the case was different and the idea of seconds means they were a misprint or had something wrong with them like a defect meaning they should be farelly cheap. Does anyone know where too look for these or any sites that would sell them. thanks.

Obviously you don't live in the UK so this ight not be of use to you. But Bicycle seconds are in fact cards which have printing defects (minor though they may seem when you buy them). In my experience most of the decks are almost indetectable as Seconds.

I bouhgt a good number of these from the address below to practice my Mercury Card Fold. (Hey...they were cheap).

With you not living in the UK I can't say how useful this will be... but why bother buying seconds?

I order my Bicycles from magictricks.co.uk and they're £1.75 a packet. Perfect cards, dirt cheap.

You have to pay postage unless you order over a certain amount but I normally grab a few more packs each time I order a trick

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Excellent :D

Thank you. That's well and truly saved to my favourites

25p per pack off when ordering 12 packs is a fairly decent saving 8)

Cheers man

Alas I too fear it to be just a pipe dream...

I've also noticed that normally when I post on a topic everyone else stops posting there and it dies.

Do I smell or something? :(

I often fear the same thing..,

I cannot smell you...can you smell me? I've just got home from a 12 hour shift in one of the busiest Two For One's in the country. I should think most of Europe can smell me.

Bonus that you can't smell me.
I can't smell that bad then :D

Man.... 12 hour shifts suck. But you're ok... I can't smell you.

I was doing some training today... didn't realise I'd already done it before so I spent 2 hours doing it all again! Argh!

Then I stole some elastic bands from the office and learnt Crazy Mans Handcuffs.
I wonder if sleeping more than practicing magic tricks would be a good idea...

If your life is anything like mine then i say YES, get to bed.

Oh, yes. Been there done that. Since I work in a pub I've been using the "ring through the bottom of a spoon" trick as it's practical, confusing and VERY impromptu.

Two For One...BUSY...and I hate it...

Ah but if you're like me, then you too are an insomniac and would benefit very little from going to bed now, despite having only had about 12 hours sleep in the last week.

Ring through the bottom of a spoon? Not sure if I've seen that one or not... do you have a video of it?

And pubs really really smell!
I was gonna go for a job in a pub, but I know one of the staff and they told me that I should only work in that pub if all else in life falls through.
So I kinda didn't hand my application in.

Still waiting for word back from the police force actually...

For those that can get to London, be advised that International Magic are doing a deal on Bikes throughout April, while stocks last.

I think it was £1.50 a pack or a dozen for £15, a dozen seconds for £10.

You can only purchase in person at the shop.
