The Lateral Palm

Postby Mark Smith » Apr 5th, '06, 18:37

Hey,

Im having a bit of trouble with the lateral palm. Im struggling to keep it pinned with my middle finger, it keeps slipping off the tip. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, or whether this is just a problem that occurs when you're learning it!
Any tips I'd love to hear them! Many thanks.

PM me.

Edit: Lennart Green's DVDs are excellent, and he teaches you it in there.

I'm not sure if I've got the right techique as I advise on this one so shoot me down if I'm wrong...

I've just picked up a card an tried (what I think is) the lateral palm an it worked fine, though it's not something I use.

TRY THIS:
I'm not sure how you're gripping the card with your middle finger but when i do it the corner of the card is about 4mm--5mm from my first knuckle on my middle finger. I'm not trying to hold it with the tip of the finger which (if I've got the right sleight is very unstable...nearer the first knuckle is much more stable.

If you have any disclarities with this rubbish i wrote then PM me and I'll try and help a bit more.
