Again I dont know a hell of alot about sublimnal messages but if my memory serves me right the orginal tests into this field were done by using a 2nd projector within a cinema and this 2nd projector was specially rigged to flash an image up saying "thirsty" or something like. (Hang on I do have a point...I'm kind of getting to it).
The image itself was flashed up at a speed to fast for the conscious mind to see. (The point of this is nearly here).
What I am wondering is that with Tv running at 25 frames per second even if you slip in one frame I fear it may not be quick enough to be truly sublimnal. When this has been tried on Tv (They did it on Brainiac onee) the results have been unsuccessful.

I'm sure something like this happened on one of Derren Browns shows when he simply kept flashing FORGET around the room and near the stage.

I work a good deal with the OUIJA when I do my Seance shows and some of what's been said is all you really need. As "magicians" we tend to overly complicate things that can be far more errie and post-show haunting (what Rick Maue call's the Cerebral Magic effect) if we just leave it be i.e. less is more!

Setting up the psychology is the big thing, before you move into the board routine. Bits like PK Touches or Rick's DEMON RING (Book of Haunted Magick) have been standards of mine for a very long time. Another bit that I've played with in a few home shows is Docc Hilford's MEPHISTO'S JOURNEY... if you want a hard hitting sealed envelope bit, this is something you owe yourself to invest in... it's damned spooky and has yet to fail me when it comes to the final punch of the evening's events.

A similar bit you may look it is on page 201 of Corinda's 13 Steps. I've had people damn near crying over that one.

One other source for OUIJA material is the Jim Magus book on said subject... I don't know who carries it now since Lee Jacob's passed away but I'm certain you can find a copy somewhere.

Best of luck!

Wow, there' been some fascinating feedback! Thanks guys. I have also following some links and ended up in some strange sites, all in the Self-Help Guru vein, which scared me slightly!
Im now doing a bit of reading into Subliminal Images, and I think I'll just keep playing around with the videos and see what happens.

I quite like the idea of sitting down for a couple of weeks and really polishing up the suggestions and achored cues. It may not work, but it'll be good practice and good fun.

Keep on posting with ideas and suggestions though, I love to hear them!

Thanks, Mark

Instead of using a Ouija Board, couldnt you use the dvd to 'contact the spirit world' and kind of get them to feel for a particular person, maybe in the same room but in the spirit world, after watching it and each write it down. You could then freak them out by showing that they all felt them same person, even though nobody said anything at all!

Im not convinced you could get them to spell the name. Infact first, doesnt the glass have to move to 'Yes' to indicate there is a spirit there? Im not fully learned on Ouija Boards, but thats just my opinion!

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Believe me, OUIJA boards can sacre the heck out people and getting them to spell out a name isn't that difficult. It's the same principle we use in Muscle Reading and Pendulum work.

Yes precisely. I think the preconception of a Ouija board is enough to get people nervous.
Getting the glass to move shouldn't be too difficult, like you said. Its all to do with ideomotor response, which I've dealt with in my background in hypnosis.
However, there's a massive leap I've gotta make, not only getting the names and details gently etched on the mind, but it being enough to get them to start moving the glass to spell those particular details.
I think the only way to do this is to anchor the names to something on the video. That way, a particular phrase will trigger a memory of a name, and when I use that phrase during the night it should be enough to trigger it off in their mind.
It's gonna be a long and tiring process of experimentation - but all good fun!

Glad you like it. However, if you touch the glass and then show you knew who you were going to try and contact all along, they can accuse you of moving the glass. You need to leave it just to them to move!

Not necessarily, not if you've enough work before the event, subliminally put names in the other peoples heads.
Look into Ideomotor Response, its how the glass will move without them pushing it.

Don't know if you're looking to spend but I've always been intrigued by this effect just never had a reason to buy one... (I also quite fancy Lebanon Circles "From Hell" but have managed to stop myself spending so far)!!!

What an amazing bit of kit! However, being a student, it puts it slightly out of my price range at the moment! But it looks like a perfect addition to a seance!
