Yep, that certainly helps, now then, I had a zombie, years ago, so I know the gimmick etc, obviously there are better ones now. So, what I'm now after is someone familiar with a number of different zombies to advise. I would need to adapt one of the 70mm glowing juggling balls to fit the gimmick, now I'd want one that you can have go behind the shoulder etc, I've also heard of one that finishes in a bunch of flowers. OR, maybe finish with a levitator tt, ah la, remove the cloth! Ideas anyone? again, if it gets close to exposure with explanation and discussion I'm more than happy to take it to PM.

Glad to be of service old bean, while we're on the subject of service have I earned that pint yet?

Whilst surfing the net I saw this and thought of you... Not that expensive if it does what it says well...

go to 'top shelf' (in the box on the left)and then select "The Skyliner"

Seen these before, well, not that particular one, this one you waved side to side yourself, they work like those clocks you can get from gadget shops where a pendulum waves quickly from side to side and you see the time appear in red. But yes, they do just what it says.

In looking for details etc on zombies, I've also found something called the 'astrosphere' it's a variation on the zombie but with a see through cloth. I could really do with finding out if the gimmick for it would be suitable for an illuminated ball. (the juggling balls mentioned earlier)

Hi Tophouse,

I saw Steve Fearson do a neat light trick called AREA 51 which I think you might like, here is the link to it:

Strangely enough this is something I was thinking about, I had the idea of using a hummer type gimmick on a glostick (the ones that you bend and then they glow for 4 hours or so)

Watching this one, it's definitely a hummer hybrid, not sure what he did to make it go into the sky though. Think I may call into emagicktricks next week (it's quite near me) with a handfull of glosticks and see what we can come up with.

Tophouse, do you have UV lightening? If so then you could just use like a black tiger deck couldn't you because the pips glow, it would be so much easier to ditch the gimmick for the hummer card aswell.

Effects that use light are good - I don't own it but there's a thing called 'Stars' available from http://www.alakazam.co.uk/acatalog/Alak ... 3_101.html - by the demo video it looks very cool and so long as people can see it I should think that it would go down well.

That ones too close up for my circumstances. Don't forget, I'm DJ'ing at the same time, my crowd are a minimum of 8 feet away.

I think a hummer variation or a lit zombie, astrosphere variation are going to work best. There's definitely a niche in the market for that kind of thing. Lit tricks.

In that case just a blank white card would work best, perhaps a card karaoke slip or something.

Ah okay then - along the lines of the Hummer, the Hummingbird card from Penguin http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=894 comes with a 'Rave' optional extra or something, I think it makes your card glow or something like that.

May be of interest?
