Stripper Deck Question?

Postby leighton » Apr 9th, '06, 16:09

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and couldn't find the answer.

Does anyone know why a Stripper Deck does not have the full compliment of 52 cards in the pack? mine only has 45 cards in total, I find it somewhat strange to cut the amount of cards to less than 52 (excuse the pun)

It should have 52 and a joker. Sounds like you need to have a word...

It sounds like you need to tell us where you bought it from so we know not to shop there in future.

It should definitely be a full deck of 52 with a joker (maybe even two if you're lucky), and you should be able top play poker with the deck if you wanted to...

a svengali dosn't have full compliment for obviouse reasons but a stripper should be full as its stripped from a full deck.

REALLY!? I've been a customer of theirs many times in the past (including several stripper decks) and I've never had anything to complain about. Perhaps if you drop them an email they'll be happy to replace it for you. I've found their customer service to be very good.

I decided to treat myself on Saturday and ordered me a Ghost Deck as I've not bought one before. But I figured that I own enough of these "Fashion" decks and decided that this one needed to be special. So I spurng the extra expense and ordered a Ghost Stripper Deck. It arrived today and I must say...I rather like it.

No whay! that's favouriteizm..... hopefully Jo will keep her word and get me a 54 card set by tomorrow hehehe.

maybe it's just me and my luck because:

I ordered some stuff from another place last week, I was supposed to recieve a free gift because I had ordered over a specified ammount. Guess what! when my package came, my free gift was not there! I had to phone them on Saturday and complain, they said they would post it out to me. When I get home I will be checking to see if it has come today.

Well, true to her word Jo got me a new pack in the post this morning, BUT the replacement pack are red bikes not blue like my first pack. Not realy an issue, I don't have any jokers, again not an issue, BUT I think the pack was gaffed/prepared by Stevie Wonder this time, very unequal work on this pack making it hard to use.

I am going to give up on this deck, and just use the damn 45 card pack.

I'd say that wasn't an acceptable situation and Jo needs to be asked for a properly prepared Blue deck which is what you expected and paid for in the first place. There's no excuse for shoddy quality and I'm sure magictricks.co.uk won't want a disgruntled customer telling everyone that they recieved more duff items to repace original duff items! Suggest you e-mail the fair Jo and let her know that what's been sent isn't acceptable.

Hi Mandrake,

I have just mailed Jo about the problem, I am the usual british person that hates to complain about anything, especialy twice about the same thing.

Mind you I have spent a fair bit with them lately.

I know what you mean! It's always worth pursuing such things - magictricks.co.uk are a decent firm of good repute so they need to be aware if things aren't going right at some point. They could have a fantastic reputation totally ruined by one duff deck of cards so I'd hope they respond positively. If not, please let us know as this is the sort of info which needs to be shared just so others are aware of the situation.
