Haha, nice try at not exposing anything, but how many lay people are going to know what a Tenkai grip is anyway!? :)

When you say the card can be seen, does that mean you can see it, or the spectators can see it?

The key to Tenkai is getting the card in deep enough, but more important is the posture of the hand. Sit infront of a mirror and work out a good, natural looking hand posture that covers all the necessary angles. The card can be hidden quite easily if you understand the angles correctly. It is also really important that you don;t draw attention to your hand by making it look unnatural. Practise a natural looking posture of the hand aswell.

Does that help?

All the best,

Will Wood

Is it Ross Bertram that created this trick? I'd love to know if he was related to me (my last name being Bertram), it'd be amazing to be rerlated to a known magician. Is this guy still around?

I believe that the Bertram Change is different to the Spin Change. I put a video up here on talkmagic to show the Bertram Changes - here. The Spin Change and Bertram Change both use the Tenkai grip but I feel safer with the the Bertram Change. I've done it many times with laymen also and it works well.
