Practicing the Ninja Rings!!!

Postby jb » Apr 15th, '06, 21:24

Folks,

I've a bit of a problem practicing Shoot Ogawa's routine of the Ninja Rings...

And that is the spin link.

It just isn't happening.

I find it near impossible to time the rings and now have a sore hand.

Could anyone give me some pointers in improving this? How did you go about perfecting it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

jb

BTW, it's an awesome routine.

I'm afraid its one of thoughs moves were you have to look at the move many, many times and then visualise the move over and over then practise till you can't practise, repeatedly till you get it.

theres no shortcut you will either get it or you won't.

Firstly off, I just LOVE the Ninja Rings - such a great routine yet one that many people seem to pass over.

As Magicdiscoman has said - correctly - the spin link requires study and practice. I found that this one and the jumping link to be the hardest. Unfortunately it's a matter of study and sitting there practicing the timing.

This is a routine that I'm still trying to perfect myself  .

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

nice very nice man.

just one little point when i take off the rings i like to bring them to the bottom and either rotate them forward and off or pull them off, this ballances out your crash links.
also when you take your top ring off why not let it melt through all the rings before comeing off the bottom jacobs ladder style.

its only a personal thing which i feel takes some heat off the bussiness end.
