D lites

Postby arkos » Apr 17th, '06, 12:01

Hey this is my 1st decent attempt with D Lites, got them last weekend. Video is a bit dark but you can see it fine, i realise using both lights at once kind of gives it away but 95% of you all know theres 2 of them in action anyway so i just like the effect.

Thanks!

Pretty Good. I think everyone should have D'Lites. They're really fun. A little thing I use is, if you were light enough shorts or pants, you can put it in your pocket. Sometimes the light shines through, other times, it doesn't. The act as if you grab your pocket and pull. Then make the light appear. Another one is taking a light bulb and going into a completely dark room...Or dimly lit. Take the light bulb and hold it in your hands. Make the lights appear. You made the light bulb "light up."

Thanks,
Dominick

"Excuse me, mate. Have you got a light?"
"Er, yeah, somewhere." [FX: Pats pockets] "What colour did you want?"
"Colour? Just a light for me fag, mate."
"A red one, eh? Not got one of those. Why not just take one from the stop light on that car?"
"What?"
"Yeah, sure. Watch..."

I love it :D

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Personally, I never thought that DLites where a great magic prop. Maybe as entertaining as making animals with balloons but not really magic, but your presentation was quite a show and changed my perspective about it, thanks ;)

To be honest, I never thought much of them either. But then again, all the videos I've seen show boring stuff like taking a light out of a persons ear and things like that.

Good show Arkos!
I'm currently waiting to be paid so I can buy some myself :D

Watch your thumb when you do not have the light in your hand... it looks strange having a thumb pointing out...

Not bad, i enjoyed it but work on your TT concealment techniques as at times you blatently flashed the gimmick that even on the video stood out like a (sore thumb?) Sorry for the pun. But keep up the good work.

Nice work, it could be done as a quick flourish at the begging of a routien. Just need to improve on consealment.

It's still something visual and would grasp an audiences attention.

 Maybe try it with street magic when its starts to get a little dark, to really get some attention, then bring out the cards & coins :D
