Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player, click here to get the latest flash player.
from utube.

no java option and have version 6 which plays other flash sites.

Internet Explorer 4.x and Up

Click "Tools" --> "Internet Options"
Select the Advanced Tab, and scroll down to "Java (Sun)"
Check the box next to the "Use Java 2" version
Next, select the Security Tab, and select the "Custom Level" button
Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets"
Make sure the "Enable" radio button is checked.

God cometh, and he giveth man Windows Firewall and Windows Defender :D

Zone Alarm isnt all that bad ... but the one mistake that people seem to make these days is giving themselves TOO much security.

Look at most IT Professionals pc's and they tend to keep things to a minimum, otherwise you just end up eating all your system rescources, the Norton and McAfee 'Internet Security' type things are the worste, the standard norton antivirus isnt so bad, but the whole whammy package is always overbaring.

My only thought was that you've got Zone alarm installed and its just doing the same job as Windows Firewall, and you've probably got a firewall built into your router too... everyone knows that Brita Water tastes better because its three times filtered but I'm not convinced the same applies to internet trafffic lol.

I hate zone alarm, i used to have that and it ruined everything. You should use the windows firewall, windows defender and AVG free edition. Works absolutely perfectly on my computer.

hmmm, strange one.... i dont know whats causeing the issue with utube, the firewall shouldnt be blocking access for JavaScript, its just a standard stuff.

Is UTube using JavaScript or a Java App? if its Java then you'll need to download some software to run it.

But from my experience of UTube i thought it used Flash to play its movies. in which case you've probably already got the plugin installed.

Rob

p.s. good man with the Windows defender.
