Does anyone know what the effect is called when they swallow something and pull it out there belly button? is there a book or DVD that covers this effect and helps you master it?

You have plenty of effects like that .. from Colombini (and the Cone-tact) where he swallows a ball and produce it back out of his .. large .. belly or [joke]Christ Angel [/joke] that does this with a thread and a needle !
you'll find some refs about eating razor blades .. but globally, this is just a handling problem and something you can figure and explore yourself, using standard coin manipulations and handlings

Its not something i would recomend, because the real secret to this is rather painfull.

David Blaine did it on his tv show where he swallowed some cotton thread and pulled it through his belly "skin", I know how it is done, but unfortunatly I can't divulge the method on the boards. Some Magic shops sell the accessory required to perform this illusion.

The thing used to accomplish this, is of course a whole lot of practice. You need to practice how to get a thread down your throat, down your belly and pop out of your skin. It's hard, but you can do it, with some work

no.... IT IS REALY UNDER THE SKIN.

Some people kid themselves that this can be done with gimmicks, but the only way to do it properly is the old traditional method used by Fakiers for centurys, long LONG before Latex was invented.

It's a trick like everything else

is this worth getting or does it take a lot of setting up? is it something you would use all the time or just as a one off?

Latex blended in with skin tone sounds like it might do the job
