Stigmata could fit great with what you want to do. After learning the basic principles of it, I'm sure you could come up with various effect...

Stigmata, brought to you by your very own friend Wayne Houchin (the creator of sinful)... Basically a mind reading routine where the prediction (could be anything, a name, a card (;)), a color...) appear "in" your arm (a bit like a stigmata) under the spectator's eye...

PK stands for Psycho-kinetik (right guy?). It consist of moving object without touching them, linking rings together, stopping watches witouth touching them, even vanishing coins in a spectator hand.
I suggest you look up to M5 (from ellusionist), The Bat or The Raven (best for the coin vanish) in the TM search function.

I'm quite surpised no-one has mentioned this yet given the name of the thread but Jay Sankey has a DVD out called No Card Tricks. That might be a good place to start for practical, audience tested, non-card magic.
