a Hello + is anybody from Switzerland?

Postby change » Apr 30th, '06, 16:46

Hi everybody. My registering here on this forum is my first step to FINALLY try real hard and get into this thing: Magic.

I'm a big fan of card magic and yet, everytime I sat down, and started to learn some basics which required me training my hand (lifts etc), I somehow came off course and didnt go through with it.

It takes time, and often I just didn't put the time needed into it. But this time I really want to get ahead. Maybe not as far as some of you guys, doing it semi professionally, but I want to be solid in a good number of tricks, as for me, magic is also a great icebreaker and way to communicate with people.

I'll sit down now, and finally try to get my fingers to do, what I tell them hehe...

edit: oh and one more thing: is somebody else here from switzerland? Germany maybe? I think my english is excellent, but still especially when talk gets really "inside magic" there are alot of words I never learned at school (sleigh comes to mind). Sometimes I have a real hard time to find a translation that makes sense. So anybody know some German?

Hi and welcome to TM - we have a few members from Germany and I seem to recall at least one post from somone inSwitzerland but, as we don't have a database of addresses,it's not easy to remember them. If you check out the feature mentioned in http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic8264.p ... ght=frappr you might be able to find someone near to you.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
