WWII: Attach a bomb to a cat and drop it from a dive-bomber on to Nazi ships. The cat, hating water, will "wrangle" itself on to enemy ship's deck. In tests cats became unconscious in mid-air

Had to try really hard to supress my laughter at work. Couldn't do it. Let out stupid noise that was kind of like "BaaaH". Got strange looks. :D

i know its cruel, i know its a waste of a cat...but...

i keep getting a mental image of a cat with a moustache (or should that be a mieou-stache?) and army uniform parachuting in all full of bravado - then suddenly passing out...

I think it would be irresponsible not to use every means available to win a war. Rather have a cat die and save lives, then more sons and daughters. After all, we kill animals just for meals, why not war?

Sounds very sci-fi movie-esque, but who knows. DARPA did invent the internet, maybe they can, someday, control butterflies!

personally, i would like to see professionally trained snakes in our armed forces...undercover work, airforce division, spying...

it's about time they started to pull their own weight in the military...
