I've looked for jumbo UK coins for a long time and never really been sucessful (especially £2 coins)

If you're trying to add a jumbo finish to your coin routine with UK coins then it won't look impromptu and so sort of loses the benefit gained from borrowing the coins (which I guess you want to do?!?)
If you're going to do some magic with coins, then I've found over the years, that most people see half dollars as a bit of a prop (my lucky coins etc) and aren't necessarily more suspicious of them.

Just my opinion

I'm only just looking into these myself, based on vague memories, but how about one of those £5 coins? are they as big as i remember?

I'm sure I've seen jumbo Euro coins - probably at dealer fairs. IMHO the new £5 coin isn't very impressive - check out http://www.24carat.co.uk/2006crownframe.html for images of the front and back.

£5 coins are about the same size as a silver dollar (maybe 40mm)
