help w/ the pass

Postby Option » May 7th, '06, 14:52

the pass. everyone knows the pass. well kinda. what it should be at least. but I:m having problems when moving the packets. when shifting the bottom packet up, it brushes past the top packet (which is now vertical). The bottom card of the top packet gets pushed a bit up, about 1cm ish. So it gets in the way when it tries to fold down under.

When learning the pass I think there are 5 things to do:

1) Read/watch the explanation lots and make sure you know every sentance the pass is often about something small you are doing wrong.

2) Just watch some good passes so you know what you are aiming for (make sure it is the same pass).

3) Practice a lot - it's not too hard but 5 mins practice a day won't do it practice in blocks of at least 25 mins (I would say)

4) Hold the cards a loosly as possible.

5) Keep it as flowing as possible don't do any move separate.

(that's the classic pass ehich I think you mean I think your main problem is 4 and possibley 5)

Cheers,

Option... may I suggest "Pass with care" by Peter Cassford? You could find all your answers there!!
