Webcam lighting question

Postby ohminku » May 8th, '06, 02:57

Hey everyone,

I've been trying to get nice looking videos with my logitech Quickcam. It's not a bad cam for general purposes but I've run into lighting issues when I try to record effects using my close-up pad (dark blue).

When the close up pad is 80-90% of the field of view, the image goes very dim and "grainy". Anyone else have this issue and possible suggestions to fix the problem?

Hope to hear back,

Thanks! :)

I think that what will be happening is that the camera thinks that the image is too dark and so is artificially trying to fix it by twiddling the image, resulting in a grainy picture. Try shining a desk lamp over the area, just to shed some light on it.
