Question About "Jumping Gemini"

Postby CasualDeath2 » May 11th, '06, 02:26

Hi! I am new to this forum, but I really like how it is set up and what not. After seeing the "Jumping Gemini" card trick for the frist time, I sat there watching it trying to see what what going on.
Finally, it hit me. I can do some variation of the trick, and I was wondering if any of the more expirienced people on this forum would not mind e-mail'ing me and helping me with my technique.
I haven't been doing magic for very long, but I have read a lot of books and know a lot of the termonology and slight of hand techniques.

Thankyou,
-Casual Death

do a video of how you do the trick now and then we can say where you could improve it.
i can imagine it's missing one thing, as everyone's jumping gemini seems to be missing it, a packet switch at the end!

Lol ... My Jumping Gemini has a packet switch at the end, its somthing we all got together and worked on quite a while back ... it can be a litle tricky to achieve, and the trick is more than strong enough without it... but it takes and skeptics who think they know how the trick works and gives them a kick in the teeth! lol.

It is an excelent way to finish the effect though.

I don't have any means of making a video, but I will gladly tell you guys how I do it over some type of messanger serivice( AIM/email). It seems that the moderators of this board frown upon posting how you do a trick.

Not really, it's the Forum policy which was set up long before any of the Mods were appointed. There's a fine line between explanation and exposure and many posts had to be deleted because that line was crossed - sometimes quite blatantly. It's a shame really as it would be good to discuss such techniques in more detail but there's always the minority who spoil it for the rest of us. Your suggestion of details by PM etc is spot on and I sincerely trust you get some good tips and help  .
