Starry Eyed Surprise II

Postby slinkey1981 » May 14th, '06, 06:50

Effect: Starry Eyed Surprise II by Oz Pearlman http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=613

Cost: $5.95

Difficulty: 3~4 hard sleights used (again, this is based on ME)

Review: An eye-popping barehanded four ace production.
Make the 4 aces appear out of no where one by one with suit color change.

Overall: This is a very visually appealing effect to open up a spec for other card based effects. Sometimes the color change goes unnoticed, you have to the spade visible after the change. (really not giving anything away) I think that Oz's teaching style is good, he doesn't make you feel stupid and he shows you the good angles to use. He gives you optional changes for flips and color. All in all, it's less than 6 bucks. if you can part with your money, this is a great lead in.

I'll give this trick a 7/10 based on (to me) the difficulty involved.

The Vids look pretty cool and this may be a good lead in for Mercury and any other ace effect.

Nice review.

It's a decent production...rather angley though, it's not really feasible surrounded.

I have been practicing in front of the mirror for a few hours now and it looks realy good from about 10:30 to 1:30 so the spec angle isn't THAT great, but you can definately do it for more than one spec.

I still hold firm on this one, it's a great lead in
