To quote Roberto Giobbi in Card College Volume 3:

Just thought that might help

It was my understanding that Houdini never actually put it into print, hence why most people cite "Expert at The Card Table" for the move, as that was the first place it was formally published.

I don't know much about it but everytime it is shown/discussed the question comes up so I thought I'd post what Roberto Giobbi had to say.
