I got over 6000 hits on coin magic on the search so ill try here. Is there any book/cd that whould be the same to coin magic as the royal rad is to card magic.

Im a begginer in coin magic and whould like somthing that teaches in the manner of the royal road. From begginer slights to advanced. Not so much looking for tricks as I am slites.

Modern coin magic by BOBO is the standard. Some people find it rather heavy going though.

yeah i would definetly say get bobo's modern coin magic...although i dont own it myself ive seen it suggested many different times to and by lots of people..

I have the book and I would say that Bobo's "Modern Coin Magic" is very hard going, and is more like an encyclopedia of coin magic as opposed to "The Royal Road to Card Magic" which is more like a complete course in card magic.

I don't have any other coin reference material yet, but I was looking at buying Jay Sankey's "Revolutionary Coin Magic"

However I think I remember that some one has produced Bobo's book into DVD format now: http://www.magicmakersinc.com/

I want to wait for a review of this before I part with my cash.

Although I'm not really into the whole coin magic thing I do own Revolutionary Coin magic Dvd and there is some excellent stuff on there which is very well taught.
Alot of the material on there will take alot of practice though but saying that isn't most of this artform about pratice.

As far as I'm aware, there isn't a direct equivalent of royal road for coins currently. Bobo doesn't come close to being that IMO.

Worth checking out is www.coinvanish.com reviews section, particularly the comparative reviews of Roth/Ammar/Stone introduction videos ( http://www.coinvanish.com/compare.html ) which shows you what the various tapes/DVDs cover.

For an introduction that's fairly easy going, and covers a lot of the basics, you could do a lot worse than Michael Ammar's DVD. It's not encyclopaedic, but it contains a lot of good material, and is well taught, and in sensible stages. For a more complete guide to the sleights, the Rubenstein tapes/DVDs are quite good, although they don't contain much in the way of routines IIRC.

Well that sounds more of what im afther then Bobo's. Since im looking for the slights more then the tricks in it self.

Well as mentioned, it's not really structured as a learning course like Royal Road, but literally as an encyclopaedia of many coin moves. It's good but you won't find any routines in there.

depends what you're looking for of course.
