Dynamo Twist Bottle Trick?

Postby Dark-Strider » May 15th, '06, 22:12

Hi, I'm new around here. I watcheda program on Channel 4 which had a magician called Dynamo on and he does this trick where someone else is holding the neck of a bottle and he twists the bottom. Then when he lets go the bottle is all contorted and twisted out of shape. Could anyone tell me where I could buy something that tells me how to do the trick.

Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if this was the same:

It looked interesting until you read the reviews underneath the product.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Thanks, looks interesting but the reviews kinda put me off. Especially for £35. Also it seems you cant do it with any bottle which was kinda implied on Dynamo's show.

Thats where your presentation comes in. If you were doing this trick, then you would have to make it seem like it could be done with any bottle, otherwise it would be pointless. Its not my kind of thing, but dynamo got his best reaction from this, though that may be because the specs were very drunk.
Doing this with any bottle would be magic!

Yes but Dynamo took the bottle from the spectator who had been drinking from it. This made it seem like it was not a tampered bottle. Also it meant that the speccy was probally in on the trick.

It's probably more likely that it was Bottle Twister by Peter Loughran.

Not really, just means the camera did not show you what Dynamo did to distract the spec while he did the dirty work.

I hate to burst your bubble but he did not really distort the actual bottle the guy was drinking from.
