edit: sorry, i forgot this http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=1318

i can't do a full review as i havn't actually seen the DVD, but from just watching the trailer too it i felt i said to say this:

This is what we in the juggling world like to call a very "american" approach to juggling/object manipulation. it's got that amount of roughness you get from believing you can do a move perfectly after you've pulled it off once. the america way is kind of a "there, i've done it, i can do it" whereas the "european" way is more like "there, i've done it... now let's make it look pretty".

anyway, the DVD:
the first thing that shocked me about this was the first "move" he previews, an "isolation", now the idea of an isolation is that the ball stays exactly where it is, in the video it by no means does this.
his "circle toss" is just way to fast, and small.
and he seems to have quite a bit of trouble with his multiball spins, certainly the anti-clockwise ones!

so yeah, if you were thinking about getting a contact juggling DVD, i wouldn't reccommend this one, in fact i wouldn't say you should buy one at all. there's plenty of good FREE tuition available online.

/rant (is it obvious i've spent the last couple of days with some pretty serious juggling folk?)

hmmm. i was watching the self tying shoelace dvd which is LOADED with 1 hour of penguin magic promotions. but contact was the only one that really stuck out and i really want to learn Contact juggling or some hand skills with balls. i seen one guy do something with a couple of small balls and i was hooked. dunno where to start though

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought it weird that he had problems spinning the balls. Of course it could be that he is trying to be a master at to many things as it always seems that he is onto some new magical exploit every week.

that'll be it then.
i've been hitting the contact balls quite a lot for the last 3 weeks (i think) and with a bit of money behind me i could pull off the same video, with smoother moves, and isolations that are actually isolated!
