Sanctum

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Ok,
we've all seen the offer of Kioku and Sanctum together, so my question is this. I understand the value of the Sanctum card if you have a peek wallet (such as the Outlaw wallet) giving you a reason to take back the card and put it away. However, if you don't have a peek wallet, then is Sanctum of value?
I'm only saying this as I am another CUPS sufferer (first time I've stood up and accepted I have a problem, thank you brothers and sisters), and I'm looking at Kioku very seriously.

Now I'm looking at it quizzically.
Now whimsically.

You guys should be getting those Kioku packages they shipped a week ago.

Sanctum is much more than something to write a word on. It comes with 4 pages of instructions.

Has two built in anagrams, two subliminal images, and if you look up Banacheks "Reversal" you will notice something else interesting about the card.

Plus, it just looks cool.

Think "MagicCard" for mentalists.

You actually get a free wet erase marker pen with Sanctum too. Unless they included that only for me, because I'm so bewitchingly attractive. The marks this makes helpfully, in a couple of senses, are removed easily by sliding a thumb over them.

Sanctum itself is more of a Helper Thing than a Thing itself. At the most basic level, having it in yor wallet and the pen with you means you'll always have the materials available if you require a spec to write something down/do a calculation - rather than hunting around for paper or ripping up beer mats or, very jarringly, happening to have a pad with you. And, with certain things, using Sanctum for this will swing the odds more in your favour. Other bits about it are sure-fire effects, but (I'd imagine) tricky to introduce unsuspiciously.

Should this be in a Sanctum thread? Is there a Sanctum thread yet?

Mr. Sexton "bewitchingly attractive" Blake is correct, each Sanctum does come with a wet erase pen.

Although the pen I sent Mr. Bewitchingly Attractive, was chosen for him because it stood out rather nicely in the 10 pack.

As far as a Sanctum thread, no, I think we need a Sexton Blake thread.

Hi Roth,
Sanctum and Kioku arrived today, many thanks. Alas to my horror it arrived without the fabled wet erase pen! So I thought I'd ask, should I invest in a Sexton Blake disguise kit before making future purchases? If so can you recommend any high quality costumiers?

Ah, the elusive wet erase marker. Well it seems Mr. Attractive has put a spell on me, huh?

Just take any pen and hold it up to a picture of Sexton, it should be wet in a few moments.

Blimey, you mentioned that and it suddenly turned up! It must have rolled out of the packaging when my eager little fingers were tearing the envelope open.

It's probably been lying low in a hidey hole and it just took the mention of Sexton to lure the little bu***r out!

Thanks again mate.

Both have arrived.
Looks like I should get Psychological Subtleties to make the most out of Sanctum
