a tag on....?
would this be a spectators tag? or one of your own, in which case it could be relativly simple

Don't untie the tag. Create a second layer that slips on over the first then remove it and palm it. Have the alternate info or whatever pre-written underneath.

I'm hoping I've guessed right but your post isn't too clear, I'm afraid.

humm ok nice so far i will explain a litlle clearer

i will have two tags

one will say failed on one side and the other victory they both have one blank side. i will show the spec the failed tag and then get them to sign the back and it has changed to a victory tag with ther sig on it.

It depends on what size and shape the tags are - if they are roughly rectangular you could probably do some standard card sleights. Off the top of my head, take the tag as a double (with wax or something to hold it together if you want) and show it cleanly. Then wait for an opportune moment and palm off the top card. Turn over the remaining single, not flashing the "Victory", and have them sign it. Voilá!

Then just have 2 layers, as I said, a tag inside a sleeve that looks identical. Show the failure, turn it over and remove the sleeve, get the sig, turn it back to show victory.
