Introducing...

Postby Taiven_Grant » May 21st, '06, 17:50

:D Hello All.

I've been lurking for a few weeks now, drawn out of curiousity by my boyfriend who is a member and shall remain nameless.

I'm only just getting into Mentalism, I find it really fascinating and it's the part of magic that has impressed me the most. Obviously I really enjoy other types of magic, and I think it's probably the fact that my card skills are dire which draws me towards mentalism. It's possibly lack of practice, small hands don't help, and I am a clumsy oaf

I have Jay Sankey's '22 Blows to the Head', and I am looking for recommendations for any other sources to help me learn.

I'm a 19 year old female (gasp) and about to take my A-levels in Law and Philosophy, which I am dreading, I notice some other members are about to take their exams so I am sure they can sympathise.

That's about it from me. On with the show, and look forward to talking to you all :D

Hi Taiven.

Welcome to TM - hope you enjoy your stay!

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

We could start a mentalist type competition here - working out which member is Taiven's boyfriend

Go for it. A prize to the winner. Of course the prize is satisfaction in knowing you were right, but I guess everyone likes a bit of that. :D

Hmmm. Eckozero lives in Soham, his Inamorata lives 30-40 miles away, as is Ipswich, which he's recenlty visited.

Nah. Probably wrong.

Curious: Isn't Bananafish in his 40s?
