Will tally ho's ever be sold world wide?

Postby TylerD » May 22nd, '06, 07:25

Well this is short and sweet lol. Will Tally Ho's ever be sold all over Canada and U.S.A??

I love tally hos, and would use them as my regular deck all the time instead of bikes if I didnt have to order them all the time. So my question is why arent they sold world wide? It angers me and makes me one sad magician lol :(

Why not just order them direct from USPCC? They have an order form on the site, and you can probably get some kind of bulk deal.

I'm fortunate in that almost all 7-11's in New York sell Tally's.

Tally's, Aviator, Bikes, Bees, etc used to take up a large section of the game display in stores back when I was a kid. But the public's interest in playing cards waned and the price for quality cards got too high e.g. stores kept what sold best in their region and that was about it. In Vegas we use the deck used by the casino we work in most of the time... we got them for free have the time in that they were "used" decks (decks are cycled through after so many hands so as to guard against the use of "natural marks" by experienced players).

The U.S. Playing Card Co./U.S. Games will sell cards by the carton however and if you guy in gross (which most full time workers will do) you can order them wholesale.

U.S. Playing Card Co deals in lots of $1000 for wholesale.

And I'd argue that *all over Canada and U.S.A* is not *worldwide* :?: :!:
Thus the answer to your Q is never.

It's not always the quality that's important... ok, you want to be using nice cards, but it depends what's used around the area in which you do most of your magic - I use bikes, not because I have any huge preference, but because I also play a fair amount of poker and they are the standard, used at most games I go to.

This gives a strong early advantage, as there are so many decks around in the room already, people assume I've just picked one up. Also, they mistake "standard" for "official" or "untamperable"... the trick I really have to keep practicing is not to giggle smugly to myself every time you do ID or delphic deck or something, then hear some know-it-all do the hard work for you by saying "wow! And those are bicycle cards too, so you know there's nothing dodgy about them!"

Ya good point. Its nice to sometimes stick with just one brand and one color, that way people wont think you are doing anything tricky by switching decks all the time. Just Like Jay Sankey and his Red bikes he uses all the time haha :D
