true... but the way i see it, if the presentation was so poor,that the solution was easily obtainable... well then its fair game.

to me, that video was the instructional video for this trick, therefore i see no shame in doing it. besides, im no performer, just for friends and family.. and youd have to rip my tongue out to give it away.

i respect a magicians right to protect the secrets of the trade, but someone like me goes to the shows, watches the videos, bought the books.. theres my payment for figuring out many tricks ive seen. and anyone who asks how, i say this to them.

I disagree we are a magic community and we should act like one by respecting the rights of other magicians and if we wish to perform others routines then I think it is only fair to pay for the privilege.

Gotta second Dorian's post here. We are not a community of 'let's find out how things work'. We are a community that is building a cannon of great effects for the practitioners of our art form. Not sure why anyone wants to spoil that.

It is a wonderful anytime anywhere effect, and its ingenuity should be protected and respected.

i bought this DVD. i was having some difficulty with it. as part of my purchase i received entry into a protected forum closed for owners of the DVD only. i posted my questions and... ANTHONY CO personally answered me! since then i have not looked back, i love the effect and am having great fun integrating it into some other things i do.

bottom line therefore, not sure what deal got struct than enabled the inventor of the trick to also spend time on the message boards at Ellusionist answering questions. the main thing is that it is a great effect, the guy is working his "you know what off" to help mediocre amatures such as me look professional... so let him and the people who provided the means for him to release and promote his trick make some money.

anything else, such as revealing any secrets, would be totally against the spirit of what forums such as this are all about.
