Hello.

I am just looking for a bit of feed back of a little performance I put together. I know my acting is a bit off in the video. But I am just wondering what you think.

I need to record it again, the camera man had no idea what was going to happen and didn't know where to focus. But I thought he was going to have the camera wide panned the whole time. Oh well.

Its a fantastic trick. Its taught by Derren Brown on Devil's PictureBook, although without the trance induction or written prediction at the end which are a couple of nice little touches.

It's looking good, well done!

Yeah it was cool. One of the things I really liked about Derren Brown's version though is that it has a real pace to it. I know it's always good to make the most of presentation but this trick will present itself whilst you stop it from having any moments where nothing is happening. You should be trying to keep both spectators involved as much as possible at all times until you reach the climax.

I'm not sure if I like the written prediction at the end. I think you're pushing the spectators towards figuring it out with something like that. They should be amazed enough by you "reading" the card from them and the other guy finding it.

Yes I agree about the written prediction. The thing about that is it had alot more relivance with the trick when you see the pre-talk I gave to introduce the trick. Then the title makes more sense as I am talking about psychics and mind control. But I ended up not being able to include that with the video due to complications. The thing is I did a line of card tricks that night and most of them were recorded but nothing was planned so alot of it couldnt be used due to atmospheric conditions and the camera guys focus.

I still like the final product, and it is getting good reviews, so I am taking my time in re-recording it. Plus I am working on some new effects which I think are a little more impressive and so I want to record them all at once.

Anyway, So far, thanks to everyone for the input and good words. I will definately take what you said into consideration.
