Not specifically magic, but some great juggling going on, thought the music isn't my taste, he's a talented guy.

Enjoy.

o.k not my words

but i kinda agree

It's fine if people like watching chris bliss's routine They should just understand that they are not seeing great juggling. They are seeing a performance that they enjoy for other reasons. Nobody should come away from his video thinking that they have seen a great juggler. His routine isn't about demonstrating how good of a juggler he is, yet people think that he is because they don't know any better. If you understand that his juggling skill is very basic, and that you like his performance because of any other reason, then we agree. Although his choreography is also not the best of its kind and with three balls it's very easy to choreograph a routine with tricks as easy as the ones he's doing in his video. And he lacks grace, and it goes on too long in my opinion. But if you like it for any other reason, maybe you liked the song, then it's perfectly fine for anyone to get enjoyment out of it as long as they understand why they like it and know that his juggling skill is very very basic and the routine is not technically challenging. If you think he's a good juggler, you are wrong. I taped a 5 ball version because...well because Penn asked me to. It is a parody and nothing more. A lot of jugglers have been getting emails from their friends telling them to watch the chris bliss video, thinking that we'll like it. It is upsetting to a lot of us that our friends would think that we would like chris bliss's routine. We know better. We see it for what it is and are not fooled by the music and the sloppy choreography. So now we direct our friends to this video to set them straight in case any more of them tell us how great he is.

that's what i was going to say, but put a lot better.
but it's the same as all those Blaine TV shows where's he's going around getting great reactions (er..and a TV show) by doing relativly simple tricks and using lots of gimmicks.
you're seeing a performance rather than an amazing skill

would that be jugglers vs. non-jugglers?
it's just like doing fire poi, i've seen people who are not all that good with poi get great reactions from people simply because they're spinning fire. it's great what you can get with a 3beat weave and a butterfly. then i step up with my 5beats, thread the needles, reels, and weaves behind the back and it's just the same. crazy!

yes how did you guess????

same thing happend to me with poi, basicaly they dont understand the paturns and how much hard work gos in to doing a 5beat or behind the back weave to make them work, not only that but when they see it done badly they dont no any better because the d**k head who showed them is telling them they are the best so they belive him and put every fire perfomer in the same catogory as that fool, and as they didnt realy enjoy that perfomane and belivie that it was the best they no longer care for the art thus making them unable to see the true paturns that you are diong!!!

do you know what i realy can not stand HACK JUGGLERS

a bit if of a rant tkof

Little harsh tkof. Think everyones got to start somewhere, and this is inevitably going to lead up to a first performance which may just go pear shaped. Would be highly arrogant and selfish for the beginner to claim that they are 'the best' (which after a first performance or first hundred for this matter, I doubt they would) and the audience would be naive for to believe this.

no i am mostly on about hack jugglers, and one guy i know who sadly IS like this and it really p**ses me off.

im not saying that a beginer has no right to be any good BUT he has no right to charge people money, turn up do a c*ap show at a few gigs and then tell evey one i am s*it then the people who did want a decent act hire non of us all because he was bad and if we are s*it in his opioin then we must be really c*ap, if you know what mean.

in the words of Alan...

You see a family in a feild having a picnic next to a pond, you plough them in to the pond fill it with cement, YOU BLOW UP THE TREE and use the leaves to make a dress for your wife, who is also your brother!!

thanks tkof

As diplomatically as possible, I say: "tkof - can you post us a video of you doing a better job with three balls?"

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I can see what people mean about the 5 ball routine, and I'd agree that it is a lot more technical. I think the 3 ball routine has the artistic nature whereas the 5 ball is technical. I guess it's what you prefer.

The technicality/atmosphere discussion happens all the time with me and my mates but to do with metal so I know how frustrating it is to try and get your side across in this type of discussion

Hey man, that's cool.
I wasn't slamming your abilities, I was just saying that you'd posted how bad he was at it and how much better you and your friends were...
If you're better than him I'd love to see it :D

I wasn't trying to be derogatory in any way, hence saying it diplomatically

Kudos dude
