NUMS is an excellent supplier. Would definitely use them again as a first choice.

Mine was despatched within 12 hours of making my order.

Unfortunately my local post office sucks and anything bigger than a letter takes a while to send

You can help them by keeping orders under 750g where possible and not having a miniscule letterbox.

BTW the Post Office deal with letters you send. Letters you get are handled by the Royal Mail, a different company.

Only problem is that sometime the good saving that you make on buying in bulk, are then lost through increased postage costs due to the weight

Not the fault of the dealers I know but darned annoying none the less.

Mine weighed a lot. It had 2 bricks of bikes in there, amongst others.
I also don't have a letterbox (true!) but I have a box in the shed where things can go, so the postie should be able to get it to me. I'm also in all day so he can knock

Thank you for correcting me.

In that case... my local Royal Mail sucks

Hi guys, thanks for the positive words.

Postage is difficult... I offer the free delivery service on orders over £25, which don't go over 1kg. This is mainly because at 1kg, the PACKAGING costs me more and the postage takes a big hike. Now, I already offer 10% discount for most TM members—and if you subtract 10% PLUS the free postage from the 'cream' on your orders, it is not uncommon for me to operate at a loss on a lot of these.

I'm not a sufficiently big dealer to be able to offer total free courier shipping, but it's something I'm hoping to get into, as that way I'd have a 'flat rate' for parcels.

Buying heavy things from NUMS will increase postage costs I'm afraid, at least in the short term. Where possible, large items which I have to post in boxes (which, incidentally, cost me from £1.50 upwards!!!) such as more than 2 bricks of bikes, will go via the Royal Mail Standard Parcel service... which can take up to three days.

Most items are despatched on the same day of your order, though, and now that I'm getting lots of orders per-day, it makes it more worth my while to make the 22 mile round trip to the sorting office each day.

I urge you to let me know how the service of NUMS measures up... i.e. was the packaging sufficient, was the delivery time OK.

It is only by comments and criticism that I can craft it into a better service.

Thanks for clearng that up mate...
I was getting rather annoyed because Mr Postman has been today and still no parcel :(
But now I will patiently wait for tomorrow to arrive instead lol
