Bicycle Engraved Card Clip

Postby B0bbY_CaT » May 25th, '06, 11:01

a brushed silver metal finish, precisely engraved with the front and back designs of a deck of Bicycle cards... that's the Bicycle Engraved Card Clip.

to see a picture please visit the link below:
http://www.ellusionist.com/order/Card-C ... graved.php

pros:
they look & feel fantastic.

the engraved design tends to hide any scuffs & scratches while adding to the quality look & feel.

while they will not straighten out "well worked cards" like a Joe Porper clip, they will definately protect your cards & your pack from major "wear and tear".

light weight and convenient to carry anywhere.

the spine of the clip says "the predicted card is the K Diamonds" which could be useful.

did i mention they look and feel fantastic!!!

Cons:

if they were just a touch bigger, i dont mean the capacity or width of the spine, i mean the surface area of the face front and back. as it stands, the are about the same size as Bike cards, but that means a touch smaller (only a tiny bit) than the pack. this is the one thing making me say these are excellent instead of PERFECT!

you will need to remove the "extra cards" from thicker stock decks such as Viper. they will still fit, but fit better without the advertising cards which means better without any additional "Gaffed" cards beyond the norm.

of course they could be a little less expensive. but isn't that the case with everything. at US$15 each they are OK priced rather than great value.

Deals: buy 3 card clips at the lower price of US$13.28. only pay one shipping charge for all 3 card clips and receive a free Ghost deck!

overall:
a very solid and well deserved 8.5 / 10 and worthy addition to anyone enjoying card magic... or even the enthusiastic poker player.

Thanks for that review, they look really nice, I think I might add one to me shopping list. So you know if any other stockist stocks them? I have never got anything from that dealer so I am a bit nervous about buying from them

You can order with confidence from them, look out for import tax though!

regret to say i have no experience with the UK's import tax system. in Australia we have duty on some items and also a GST, however when it comes to imports, this usually applies to commercial quantities, not a couple of "gift" type items.

I can say I have bought a number of things from Ellusionist. you wont have any problem with them, A-Class quality & service. when buying something generic shop around, you may find cheaper elsewhere sometimes. when buying one of their own "developed products" i guess that's a different story.

i have looked extensively at eBay and cant find these particular card guards anywhere else so... suggest contacting Ellusionist directly and ask if they have distributors in the UK you can source from. otherwise deal direct with E and (i guess?) pay the tax. good luck!
